The article proves that the genres of digital discourse are a dynamic, flexible system that is formed at the junction of linguistic tradition, social needs and technological capabilities. Their analysis requires a multidisciplinary approach that combines knowledge from linguistics, sociology, computer science and communication sciences. Such an approach will allow a more accurate description of the specifics of each genre and its role in the modern information society. It is proven that digital speech is characterized by distance, that is, the spatio-temporal distance of communicators. This imposes certain restrictions on the composition of messages, forcing participants to be more concise, adapt to format requirements and respond promptly to changes. Distance also stimulates the revision of existing communicative conventions, which leads to the emergence of new linguistic strategies. It is concluded that digital discourse is not only a tool for transmitting meanings, but also a way of their social and cultural construction. In a digital environment where identity can be flexible, pseudonymous or anonymous, this dimension becomes particularly relevant. Digital discourse cannot be reduced to language alone – it is a complex communicative event that takes into account not only the speaker and text, but also the audience, context, means of transmitting information and even time frames. Such an interpretation is fully consistent with the nature of digital communication – multi-channel, instant, multimedia. It is assumed that the media play a key role in this process. Digital media not only inform, but also purposefully interpret events, applying rhetorical methods to create the desired effect. Efficiency, relevance and accessibility are three central principles of the functioning of digital discourse within the modern information sphere. At the same time, it is noted that some genres, despite their technical modernization, remain structurally and stylistically close to traditional ones. This, in particular, concerns scientific reviews, editorials, reports.uk_UA
